Project Summary:
Abstract:               
One of the major issues concerning most of the growing states is the lack of professionals in transportation industry in public and private sector. This issue will cause the number of position available stay vacant as there will not be enough trained and educated forces to fill these positions. There is a dire need to develop a curriculum that will attract individuals interested to the field of transportation. Further more, it is intended to develop a glossary of transportation that will assist attendees to become more familiar with the terminologies used in this field. With these two components individuals can be more involved with the future of transportation issues in their prospective place of residence.

Objectives:
This program will increase the interest of high school students to declare a major that is related to the transportation. Also, attracts companies and industries to support this program during the implementation of the project.

Tasks:
Task 1: Literature Review
The literature review will focus on available scientific papers, reports and websites regarding public involvement.

Task 2: Review and Compare Public Involvement
To select individuals from public and private sector to serve on the committee to review and update the curriculum as it becomes necessary.

Task 3: Document Research Results and Findings
This extensive research will be conducted and results will be compare with the existing findings and final document to be published in conference proceedings or journal of transportation.
