The TxDOT Undergraduate Internship Program is a paid internship for two undergraduate engineering or planning students with an interest in transportation research. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) summer internship from May 20 to August 16, 2013. Interns will earn $10-15/per hour based on class status. Interns will be mentored by senior transportation professionals as they participate on sponsored research efforts in the Texas A&M Transportation Institute’s Austin office. Interns will also spend a day or two each week at TxDOT headquarters and gain a behind-the-scene look into the operations of a major state agency.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or eligible to be employed in the U.S.
- Applicants must be Texas A&M University undergraduate students enrolled for the fall 2013 semester.
- Applicants must be available and able to participate through the duration of the program. Start and end dates may be flexible.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Austin, Texas for the duration of the program.
- Applicants must submit a completed application and supporting documentation by 5:00 p.m. Central time, April 30, 2013.
